FROM PRINTED ORGANISER TO COMMERCIAL SOFTWARE

The client had been using a printed family organiser on the fridge and wanted to turn the idea into a digital product families could use every day.

Studio DALI designed and built TwinkleTasks as a multi-user software platform, including parent and child experiences, routines, rewards, device pairing, account management and billing.

What began as a paper-based idea became a real product the client could build a business around.

FROM MANUAL PAYMENT TRACKING
TO ONE CLEAR SYSTEM.

A business needed a clearer way to manage monthly charges and incoming payments, especially when payments came from different people, arrived late, were split across transactions or needed manual review.

Studio DALI built a bespoke accounting and payment-reconciliation app that imports bank statements, matches payments to the right customer or payer, tracks balances and arrears, flags exceptions, and brings the month’s position into one clear dashboard.

What previously had to be pieced together manually can now be reviewed, reconciled and managed from one private system.

For custom work, handover includes the code, access and documentation appropriate to the project, so you have what you need to operate and manage what has been built. More complex systems can include structured handover and training. Ongoing support is available if you want it, not because you are trapped into needing it.

Studio DALI is a small team of three developers, builders and AI enthusiasts who like solving problems that sit somewhere between business and technology.

Projects are not passed from a salesperson to an account manager and then on to a separate delivery team. The person who takes on your project stays with it from the first conversations through to delivery, supported by the rest of the studio where needed.

You stay in direct contact with the people actually doing the work, with one person responsible for your project throughout.

That means fewer handovers, clearer communication and less chance of important context getting lost between understanding the problem and building the solution.

Studio DALI is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Quoted prices are total prices. Complex projects are scoped individually. Ongoing support is optional.

A few things
worth knowing.

Can you work with what we already have?

Usually, yes. If an existing website, system or tool is doing part of the job well, we would rather improve, connect or extend it than replace it unnecessarily.

If something genuinely needs rebuilding, we will explain why before recommending that route.

Can you take over an existing website, system or unfinished project?

Yes, where the existing setup makes that practical.

We can review what is already there, identify what is usable, what needs fixing and what should be replaced, then recommend the most sensible way forward.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope.

A focused website, SEO project or simple automation may take days or a few weeks. Bespoke software, integrated systems and more complex AI work can take considerably longer.

Once we understand what is involved, we will give you a realistic timeline before the project begins.

Who owns the work when the project is finished?

You should not be dependent on Studio DALI simply to keep using what has been built.

For custom work, handover includes the code, access and documentation appropriate to the project. More complex systems can also include structured handover and training.

Third-party services, licences and reusable components may have their own terms, which will be explained where they apply.

Do you provide support after launch?

Yes, if you want it.

Some projects finish with a complete handover. Others continue with website care, SEO, development, automation monitoring or ongoing AI/system support.

Ongoing support is optional, not a condition of continuing to use what we built.

How do you handle sensitive business information?

That depends on the system and the information involved.

For projects involving sensitive data, we agree how access, storage, third-party services and AI providers will be handled before implementation. Wherever practical, accounts and services are kept under the client’s control rather than hidden inside Studio DALI-owned accounts.

If a project has specific confidentiality, regulatory or security requirements, those need to be identified before the relevant system is designed.

What happens if the scope changes while we are working?

Refining the work within the agreed scope is part of the process.

If feedback changes or improves what we originally agreed to build, we work through that with you. If a new request materially expands the project, we explain the additional work and cost before going ahead.

There are no surprise charges for work you have not approved.
